This is a proposal for the SANE2 standard
I collected (almost) all suggestion that I found in the sane-devel mailing list.
This proposal is not complete, some parts in the
sane2-api-todo are still marked as not done.
But the most important parts are worked out and included into this
SANE2 standard proposal:
Several details of this proposal are based an a lot of discussions with Andreas Beck
who already spent a lot of time and work into the SANE-1 standard.

I will not have much time to work on the proposal the next time.
But I think it already is a good base for discussion, please also
take a look at the todo list. Suggestions, patches and comments are welcome.
